Solemn Mass of thanksgiving to mark the end of the 50th Varaždin Baroque Evenings
The Cathedral Choir Chorus Dominicalis was founded in December 2018 at the initiative of Varaždin Bishop Msgr. Josip Mrzljak. The name Chorus Dominicalis (Sunday choir) refers to its primary activity – the glorification of Sunday liturgical celebrations in the Varaždin Cathedral. The choir is based on the Varaždin ensemble Nonet Donum, which has already established itself as a successful concert ensemble, including a series of performances at the Varaždin Baroque Evenings, which was joined by other singers related to the Varaždin Cathedral, thus forming an ensemble that will nurture its liturgical role and concert activity.
The choir operates under the direction of the cathedral organist mo. Višeslava Jaklina.
