TRIO D’ORO
PROGRAMME:
The Trio got together while they were studying at the University in Innsbruck and München.
Anna Karmesin studied Classical Singing in Innsbruck and München, took part at the „Bayerische Theaterakademie in München“ and is part of the Masterprogramm in „Liedgestaltung“. She is also member of the Munich Philharmonic Choir.
Vjeran Jezek studied Classical Trumpet in Innsbruck and München. He was the principal trumpet in Orchestra in München ( Bach Collegium München, Münchner Symphoniker), Karlsruhe, Plauen and Zwickau. He is also lecturer of the Varazdin Brass Academy.
Angela Metzger studied Sacred Music and Organ in München. She also studied Oboe in Innsbruck. During her studies she was a fellow of the Cusanuswerk and got the Germany Scholarship. She is a laureate of several international organ competitions.
Soprano Sigrid Plundrich has been praised for her “seamless vocal artistry and convincing theatrical presence”. She is equally at home in concert repertoire as on the opera stage, and enjoys a diverse repertoire ranging from the baroque to the contemporary. Ms. Plundrich was an ensemble member of the Munich State Opera at Gärtnerplatz and has been a guest of the opera theaters of Würzburg, Erlangen and Augsburg, as well as the Palacio de la Opera in La Coruña, Spain. On the concert stage, Ms. Plundrich has appeared with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie of Bremen, the Konzerthaus Orchestra of Berlin, the Munich Symphonikern and Toronto’s Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra with conductors Bruno Weil, Dennis Russell Davies and Christian Thielemann. Ms. Plundrich was born in Marktoberdorf, Germany. She studied voice with Frieder Lang and Wolfgang Brendel and song interpretation with Helmut Deutsch at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. She has also received several scholarships and has participated in masterclasses with Krisztina Laki and Christoph Pregardien.
