About:

Ensemble ANTIPHONUS

The members of Antiphonus intertwined after a long period of singing and music making in various groups. Educated musicians of various profiles build delicate repertoire; they nourish the music from the early beginnings of European music, as well as the latest musical compositions of local and foreign composers.

Since 2008, when it is established, Antiphonus performed at almost every Croatian Festival, and except a full range of concerts, the ensemble recorded three programs for Croatian Radiotelevision. Antiphonus regularly performs concert under the patronage of the Croatian Ministry of Culture, and from 2010, it holds concerts with financial support from the City of Zagreb. Their performance crowned the festive concert of the Croatian joining the EU and represented Croatia at the festival in Paris “Croatie, le voici” in 2012 and in this year they made a remarkable concert at Biennale in Zagreb. After this year’s summer tour, recording of a CD followed, with the program of Croatian early music, in coproduction with Swedish label Opus 3 and in cooperation with great team of soloists and musicians. Antiphonus started their concert season Triade in 2014 in Zagreb, focused on Monteverdi’s madrigals and premiers of new pieces.
