Swedish mezzo-soprano Maria Forsström is equally at home in music ranging from Venetian Baroque to Berlin cabaret, but she has gained particular acclaim for her interpretations of repertoire by the Viennese masters Mozart and Mahler. She made her professional operatic debut with his ensemble MusicAeterna, singing the role of Dorabella in Così fan tutte. She also took part in Currentzis’s celebrated Sony Classical recording of Le nozze di Figaro, performing the role of Marcellina, and has appeared as a soloist with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra under his direction. Maria’s smooth, creamy tone has made her a sought-after interpreter of Mahler’s orchestral song repertoire, as well as similar works by Brahms, Berg, Britten, Wagner, and Zemlinsky. She possesses a notable coloratura technique, and her operatic roles include the title role in Carmen, Isabella in Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers, and Maffio Orsini in Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia. She has performed with Malmö Opera and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared with the Perm State Opera and Ballet in Russia, the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan, and the DalaSinfoniettan in Sweden. She has also recorded a critically acclaimed album of Mahler songs for the Musica Rediviva label.

Emelie Roos is one of Sweden’s foremost recorder virtuosos, known for her versatile musicianship. She is active as a soloist, chamber musician, artistic director, and educator. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Emelie performs regularly with ensembles such as Höör Barock, Duo SolRoos, and Ensemble Gemma. She has also collaborated with Drottningholm Court Theatre, Malmö City Theatre, Malmö Opera, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Baroque, Karlsson Barock, Arte dei Suonatori, Women’s Orchestra, Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, and others. Together with Dohyo Sol, she has placed the village of Höör, in central Skåne, on the international classical music map through the Höör Barock ensemble and festival. In 2022, Höör captured the hearts of baroque critics and listeners alike, winning a Swedish Grammy for the album Golovinmusiken. That same year, Höör Barock released its fourth critically acclaimed album, Baroque Concertos with Recorder – Treasures from Swedish Collections (Proprius/Naxos Sweden), featuring music unearthed by Emelie in the music archives in Lund.

Dohyo Sol studied the lute at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. His repertoire ranges from early Renaissance to contemporary improvisation. The lute has taken him across Europe, and his work spans opera houses and baroque orchestras to smaller ensembles and solo performances. He regularly performs with ensembles such as Höör Barock Ensemble, Orkiestra Historyczna {oh!}, Camerata Öresund, Concerto Copenhagen. He has also conducted operas, including Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi and Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo by Emilio Cavalieri. He has participated in  productions at Malmö Opera, The Royal Theater in Copenhagen, Vadstena Academy, Ulriksdal Palace Theater Confidencen, Folkoperan in Stockholm and the Gothenburg Opera. As a soloist, he has a special penchant for lute music from the Golden Age of the English Renaissance and the German “Galant” baroque style. He has recorded over a dozen CD recordings as a chamber musician, soloist and continuo player with various Baroque orchestras. Since 2012, he has been co-artistic leader of Höör Barock Fesval, which is now considered one of the most important Early Music festivals in Sweden.

Peter Lönnerberg received much of his training and inspiration for harpsichord and basso continuo from Lars Ulrik Mortensen in Copenhagen. He is a regular member of the ReBaroque Ensemble, Stockholm Barock trio, and the “Tre Kronor” Baroque Ensemble. He is in demand with various other Swedish ensembles, and has appeared with several groups in radio and television. CD recordings include Telemannia with ReBaroque (Proprius) and early Italian music for violin and harpsichord together with Laura Vadjon, leader of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble (Aquarius). He also has a strong interest in teaching and has given a numerous of master classes, as well as serving as a guest teacher at the Music Academy in Belgrade for several years.
