About performer:
Responsorium Ensemble is dedicated to the study and interpretation of vocal and instrumental repertoire of the seventeenth century, with special emphasis on older Croatian musical heritage pieces. It operates in accordance with the principles of historically-based performance rules of early music, using replicas of authentic instruments and respecting science-based stylistic guidelines. In search of the authentic sound of the ensemble had participated in a number of successful projects including several premieres of contemporary works of Croatian Baroque composers. The proof of intensive musicological activities ensemble is a compact disc Tomaso Cecchini: Madrigali et canzonette a tre voci 1617 (Croatia Records, 2017), which was published on the occasion of 400 anniversary of the print collection. Responsorium Ensemble regularly collaborates with renowned international performers of early music and their commitment and joyfull performance is shared with faithful audience, playing at numerous festivals in the country (Varazdin Baroque Evenings, Music Evenings in st. Donat; Concerts in; Dvigrad festival; BaRoMus festival) and abroad ( Austria, Germany, Denmark, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia).
