Coloquio 6
is a wind sextet specialising in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century repertoire performed on period instruments. The ensemble focuses on Harmoniemusik—music for wind ensemble written for festive occasions such as banquets, garden gatherings and court celebrations. Often consisting of arrangements of popular operas, this repertoire brought the drama and emotion of the opera house into social settings. The ensemble has been selected for programmes such as Sustainable EEEmerging and IYAP Antwerp, supported by the Keep an Eye Foundation, and was awarded Second Prize at the London International Festival of Early Music (LIFEM). Coloquio 6 has performed throughout Europe, bringing the vibrant sound of Harmoniemusik to a wide variety of audiences and settings.
