2.10.2024. A traditional concert by students of the Varaždin School of Music with the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra

Since its establishment, Varaždin School of Music has played a very important role not only as an educational institution specialized in teaching, studying, improving and researching music, but also as a cultural center of Varaždin and Varaždin County. Founded 196 years ago as a small town school, today Varaždin School of Music covers the need for musical education in the entire northwestern region and has over 800 students from all over Croatia, including students from abroad.
In the program of the 54th Varaždin Baroque Evenings, the students of the Varaždin School of Music will also be given the opportunity to present themselves in front of the festival audience. The traditional concert of students with the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra continues the long-standing successful cooperation of the festival with one of the oldest music schools in this part of Europe. This is a unique case in the world that young talented students have the honor of "closing" such a significant and renowned festival. Almost all departments of the school are regularly represented at the concert, and the young musicians who perform are elementary and high school students.
