About performer:
Edmund Andler-Borić was born and raised in Zadar, and lives and works in Zagreb. He graduated piano from the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of prof. Ida Gamulin, organ in the class of Ljerka Očić, and a master's degree in organ in the class of Maria Penzara. He perfected his organ interpretation in the master classes of Jaroslav Tuma, Pieter van Dijk and Daniel Roth. In 1999, he took the absolute victory at the II. Croatian organ competition Franjo Dugan. He stands out with performances of virtuoso compositions from the period of Romanticism and contemporary music. He is especially active as a concert performer and is the most prominent young organ artist with several hundred concerts in Europe, South Africa, Israel, the USA, Syria, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. In 2010, he won the Franjo Dugan Award for special contribution to the preservation and promotion of organ heritage. Apart from being a guest at many festivals, he is one of the initiators of such events in Croatia: artistic director of the Zagreb Cathedral Organ Festival, AdventFest in the Cathedral, director of the international organ festival Ars Organi Sisciae in Sisak for eleven years and ZRIN festival for three years. As a soloist with the organ, he collaborates with the HRT Symphony Orchestra and conductors Nikša Barez and Pavle Dešpalj, and the Mostar Symphony Orchestra.
Croatia Records released his first solo CD in 2009, which was awarded the Croatian Porin Record Award in 2010.
